Baseball Catching
Baseball catching is probably the most intricate and important part in the game of baseball, and that counts for all catching on the field, not just the catcher behind the batter. The team fielding from the front liners, close to the pitcher, to the boundaries of the field, all have to rely on their catching skills, and then of course, their throwing to appropriate bases, but depending on the play, the catching is more important that the throwing. If the ball is let through the mitt or dropped, the play is affected, and that catch is delayed, and no longer as important to the play. The game moves very fast, and so the damage has been done. This is one of our many reason why catching is the most essential talent and structure. We can teach you this. You'll learn and be great if you persist and get the right people to teach you the tricks. It is important that we teach our enthusiastic baseball players that laying a foundation is key.
How your players on your side, the ref, and your competitors perceive you will be a large part of your success as a team, so essentially you have a lot of responsible on your shoulders and you need to be able to handle that. Here at the Art of Catching we will give you all the tips and techniques to give you the confidence you need to do the job required. Your attitude will be responsible for the tone of the game. You have to be the most astute player on the field, where you notice every little detail of what's going on in every play, on the field and on the side lines. It is your job to make sure that you anticipate plays before they even happen. Your team will rely on you for these attributes. Your respect from your peer players will depend on your presence, where you must demand an assertive stance to the play and control the role as the game progresses.
If you are not practiced and fighter ready, your fellow players and the opposing team will have no respect for you, making it increasingly difficult to maintain your position as the catcher, affording your team to lose the game, and taking your confidence in your potential to an all-time low.
