Like learning anything in life, we must not be afraid, or afraid of mistakes. I like your insistance on the knowledge of failure as a LARGE part of baseball. Where else can you succeed 30% of the time and be enshrined for it? It's tough for a kid to take it sometimes. Parents have to be there, encourage, and support, win, lose or draw. It's a game.
